Homes and Communities Agency
The Homes and Communities Agency is the national housing and regeneration agency for England, with a capital investment budget of nearly £7bn. It contributes to economic growth by helping communities to realise their aspirations for prosperity and to deliver high-quality housing that people can afford.
It provides investment for new affordable housing and to improve existing social housing, as well as for regenerating land. It provides support and advice to partners including Community Land Trusts, to enable them to tailor their plans to the needs of their different communities and to realise those plans.
It is also the regulator for social housing providers in England. The focus of its regulatory activity is on governance, financial viability and financial value for money as the basis for robust economic regulation.
